Hotel automation
Hotel robots and automation: business visits in Shenzhen
Delivery, floor cleaning and room controls involve different suppliers and different work on site. We arrange supplier meetings and, when confirmed in advance, a visit to an operating hotel. Bring the details of your building and current systems so you can discuss installation and support.
Questions to discuss with makers
- Which hotel tasks can this product handle, and when do staff need to step in?
- How much staff time do the robots still need?
- Will the systems connect to our property management system (PMS)?
- Does the maker have sales, installation and service support in Europe?
- How would a pilot at one of our hotels work, and what would it cost?
What we can arrange
- Delivery and service robot makers, including companies with European operations
- Commercial cleaning robot makers
- AI reception and smart room system providers
- A Shenzhen hotel using robots in daily operations
- Food and beverage automation, if relevant to you
Every meeting is confirmed in writing by the company before your trip. Suggested level: Research or Partnership visit.
What to check during a visit
Use these questions to prepare for a demonstration and follow up on a quote.
A complete task
- For delivery, follow the trip to a room and back. Ask what happens if the lift or corridor is blocked.
- For cleaning, ask separately about floors, bathrooms, beds and linen. Watch where staff still help.
Your building and systems
- Check your PMS and lift models with each maker. Ask for a reference using the same setup.
- For reception systems, test your guest languages and handover to a person. For room controls, ask what installation work is needed.
A trial at your hotel
- Agree on the task, trial cost and records to keep: completed jobs, staff intervention and guest feedback.
- Name the people responsible for installation, training and repairs before the trial starts.

Frequently asked questions
Can a robot clean a hotel room?
During the October 2026 visits we arranged for a hotel group, we found floor-cleaning products but did not see a mature solution for bathroom cleaning or bed-making. Ask about each part of room turnover separately, including linen, and ask the maker to demonstrate where staff still need to help.
Do Chinese hotel robots work with European hotel systems?
Some makers have integrated with common PMS and elevator systems, but it has to be checked for your exact setup. Ask the maker for a reference hotel with a similar system.
How should we start?
Choose one task at one hotel. Before a trial, agree with the maker how to record completed tasks, staff intervention and guest feedback, along with the cost and support arrangements.
